All Progressives Congress chieftain in Abia State, Chief Kingsley Ngwaba, has said the Supreme Court had deepened Nigeria’s democracy by affirming President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 election.

Ngwaba, who spoke to LEADERSHIP Weekend in Umuahia, the Abia State capital, yesterday, said; “The judiciary has once again proved that it the last hope for the common man. I doff my hat for the judges who despite the negative comments by the opposition did justice to the matter.”

He added that the verdict had also deepened the confidence of the people in the country’s electoral system, saying he was confident that the system would improve with every election.

“Now that the matter has been finally settled, it behoves on every member of the party in the state, both high and low, to spread its ideas across every nook and cranny.”

Ngwaba pointed out that while the party continued to celebrate the victory, it was time it started preparing for 2027  “because before you know it, the year will be around the corner.”

He appealed to the president to increase the number of appointees from the state, saying such appointments would enhance the popularity of the party in the state.

“Going forward, we need an appointee who will be very visible and strategic in Tinubu’s administration to serve as a rallying point for the members ahead of 2027,” he added.
