Friends, fellow bikers, creatives and supporters gathered at Teslim Balogun Stadium for a candlelight procession in honour of social media influencer and photographer, Orowole Samuel Kolapo, popularly known as Kola Onifoto.
The event brought together members of the biking and creative communities who lit candles, shared memories and paid tribute to the late photographer whose sudden death shocked many followers online.
Kola Onifoto reportedly died on March 2, 2026, after sustaining severe injuries in a lone motorcycle crash that occurred a day earlier, March 1, during what he had described as his first solo bike trip outside Lagos toward Akure.
Following the accident, he was initially taken to an emergency unit operated by the Federal Road Safety Corps in Ojota before being transferred to Lagos University Teaching Hospital for further medical treatment.
Despite efforts by medical personnel, the 32-year-old later succumbed to his injuries.
Kola Onifoto was widely known for his passion for photography and motorcycling. Through his social media platforms, he documented his adventures and creative projects, building a strong online following and earning admiration within Nigeria’s biking and photography communities.
