The Public Relation Officer of the hospital, Talatu Angi, who confirmed the incident to LEADERSHIP, said the vehicle belongs to a patient who had come to see a doctor at about 7:15 a.m.

Angi explained that the suspect attempted to unlock the vehicle using a master key, unaware that the owner was still seated inside the car.

The PRO commended the Unit for their vigilance, dedication, and quick response, which averted what could have been a major theft within the hospital premises.

She added that the suspect will be handed over to the “A” Division Police Station, Jos, for further investigation and possible prosecution.
