Suspected Kidnappers Kill PDP Chieftain, Son In Kwara

Suspected kidnappers on Tuesday night killed the Kwara North Ward chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Patigi, Alh Abdullahi Kpotun and his son, at Lile Village in Patigi local government area of Kwara State.

LEADERSHIP gathered that Kpotun and his son were killed by the gunmen during an attempt to abduct the duo.

Although, there has been no official confirmation of the incident by the Kwara State Police Command, Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP ) in the state, Mr Shola Adewara confirmed the killing of Kpotun and his son.

“Yes, Alh Kpotun was killed by suspected gunmen. We are in mourning mood,” Adewara said.

Also, a political group, Kwara Central Strategy team (KCST) has announced the killing of Kpotun on social media.

“We pray for the souls of our fallen comrades. May their sacrifices not be in vain. We declare safety, divine guidance, and victory over fear. Kwara North shall rise again!,” the group said in a statement signed by its president, Olayinka Oladimeji.
