According to the statement, the suspects were arrested based on credible information. During interrogation, they confessed to the crime, adding that several stolen items were recovered from them. An investigation is underway for subsequent prosecution.

LEADERSHIP gathered that, following their arrest, youths from the community gathered, expressing outrage over the suspects’ actions, which they claimed were habitual. In a bid to take the law into their own hands, the youths attempted to lynch the suspects and set fire to a motorcycle belonging to one of the suspects.

Also, the Commissioner of Police, CP Emmanuel condemned the acts of vandalism and urged the community to maintain restraint and allow the law to take its course.
