SWAN Gives Sirawoo 7-day Ultimatum To Return Official Documents/Property In His Possession

Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has given immediate past president of the association, Dr Honour Sirawoo, seven days ultimatum to return official documents and property of the association in his possession.

This was contained in a letter dated April 17, 2024 and addressed to the former president.

The letter, which was signed by the secretary-general of the association, Ambassador Ikenna Okonkwo, specifically listed the items expected from former President Honour Sirawoo to include; Original CAC Certificate, Details of Appointed Patrons of the Association and any other document/property/asset belonging to the National Secretariat.

“I write to specifically request that you return critical official documents and other property belonging to the Association that are still in your Possession, eight months after the Triennial National Congress in Omoku, Rivers State.

“You were ordinarily meant to properly handover these items with you immediately after the Triennial Congress on July 13, 2023 which signalled the end of your tenure.

“Due to exigencies associated with the use of the above at the Secretariat, you are required to make them available with the next 7 days from the date this letter was issued,” the letter read in part.
