Uzodimma will on Monday, January 15th 2024, be sworn in for a second term as governor of Imo state.

Callers on Peoples Assembly on Hot FM Owerri collectively called for the conduct of local government elections into the 27 seats which they said will help to reduce security issues in the state.

According to them, the absence of duly elected local government officials had contributed to the pressure on the state government because people were seeking some form of information and contracts.

The callers commended Uzodimma on the quality of roads constructed by his administration, daily provision of buses, and the prompt payment of salaries for civil servants in the state.

They called on the governor to spend more time within the state, construct inner roads, pay pensioners their gratuity, pay Imo civil guards their salary backlog, and ensure ease of doing business within the state.

Some called on him to appoint well rounded and qualified people into his cabinet devoid of criminal intentions.

Amongst the callers were Chief Ifeanyi Olumba, Nokey Ebikam, Pastor Chinedu Nnadi, Chief Jude Ugboaja and several others.
