Gbadamosi revealed that the journey to certification spanned about two years of continuous internal and external audits, documentation reviews, and process evaluations. He emphasised that TAG Energy is committed to sustaining and improving the standards that earned the certification.

“One of the main ethos of quality is continuous improvement. We have management and board commitment to maintain and even improve the quality of our products and services. We have retained external auditors and employed internal auditors to ensure ongoing compliance across all areas of our business,” he added.

Looking ahead, the company plans significant expansion, including investments in oil fields both within Nigeria and other African countries.

“In the next five years, our projection is to become an oil producer. We are currently exploring opportunities to acquire acreages and develop our own fields to support Nigeria’s drive to increase oil and gas production,” the CEO stated.

Presenting the certification, the District chief executive for Nigeria and managing director of Bureau Veritas, Mr Jean-Michel Perret, commended TAG Energy for its dedication to quality, urging the firm to sustain the standards.

“ The ISO certification not only strengthens internal systems but also increases business opportunities because it is globally recognised as a mark of credibility. The certificate is truly worth it,” he said.

Also speaking, the assistant general manager, TAG Energy Nigeria Limited, Peluola Adeniji, explained that TAG Energy’s quality journey began in 2015 when TAG Lines Nigeria Limited, a sister company, was certified under ISO 9001:2008 standards for supply chain management and manpower support services.

Since then, the company has worked to: Strengthen internal processes and procedures, Enhance customer satisfaction and stakeholder confidence, Improve operational efficiency, risk management, and compliance

According to her, “the certification process has also led to measurable improvements, including stronger documentation and process consistency, enhanced workplace safety culture, and increased customer trust.”
