The councillor representing Kadorko ward of Donga local government area of Taraba State has constructed a N3 million bridge to enable farmers within the ward to convey their farm produce to the market.

The councilor, Hon Victor Antaav , who was elected under the platform of Peoples Democracy Party (PDP) while speaking with journalists at the site of the bridge at Akerete stream said the people have passed through hardship for years as a result of lack of the bridge.

He said the bridge is linking Shagogo, Tyomom, Utile and Kedenya communities that are dominantly farmers.

“The people here have been passing through hardship as a result of lack of the bridge, they hardly pass through the road with their farm products, is also difficult for the people to bring in farm inputs for farming activities, is our believe that with the construction of the bridge, things will improve for better harvest,” he said.

He said the gesture was to complement the efforts of the Taraba State governor, Agbu Kefas who is doing his best to improve the agricultural sector of the state.

“The governor instructed us while we were elected to prioritize the welfare of the people and encourage improvement of agriculture. The reason I have embarked on the self-project is to complement his efforts and create an access road for the people of my ward,” Utaav stated.
