Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has said his administration would embark on massive development projects in all sections for the well-being of the people and the state.

During a town hall meeting for the Southern Senatorial Zone, the governor said his administration was determined to build a stronger and more prosperous state for all.

The zone, comprising the Ibi, Donga, Takum, Ussa, and Wukari local government areas, allowed the Governor to interact with the people and receive firsthand information on their challenges.

Governor Kefas, therefore, reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to live an enduring legacy for the people of the state.

According to him, the town hall meeting demonstrated his emphasis on community engagement and his government’s responsiveness to the people’s needs.

Addressing the meeting, Governor Dr Agbu Kefas expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the people of the Southern zone for their support and votes in the 2023 election.

He mentioned several achievements recorded across key sectors, such as education, health, agriculture, and security. He assured that, as the people’s governor, he would work and serve the citizens with the fear of God.

“I plan to embark on several projects, especially in the road network, including constructing collapsed bridges.

“I am determined to work and serve the people of the state, and that is why I have decided to meet with you, to hear your challenges in this town hall meeting and by special grace of God, work will soon begin across the state,” Governor Kefas said.

The Governor specifically told the people that, by October 2025, his administration would embark on road construction and empowerment programmes for women and youth.

Some Stakeholders from southern Taraba, including the Former Deputy Governor, Armayau Dauda, Member of the House of Representatives, Mark Bako Useni, and the Aku Uka of Wukari, His Royal Majesty, Ishaku Adda Ali, all took turns commending Governor Kefas’s developmental strides and assured him of their unflinching support for his success.

Earlier, the Chairman of Wukari local government area, Danazumi Angyu, thanked the Governor for embarking on people-oriented projects that have positively affected the region.
