The award was announced by the Editor-in-Chief of Kwararafa Reporters, Augustine Abel, who praised Tafida’s confidence, voice, and legislative performance.

Abel noted that Tafida’s commitment and dedication to his constituents were evident in his performance, particularly given that he is a first-time lawmaker. “Unlike many first-timers who often take time to observe and learn, Tafida has hit the ground running,” Abel said.

The award was presented to Hon. Tafida Abbas and received on his behalf by Alhaji Ibrahim Gadaffi, his Special Assistant on Media.

Gadaffi thanked the organisers and stated that the award would serve as an encouragement for Tafida to do more. He also promised to continue working with Kwararafa Reporters to promote transparency in legislative functions.

In a gesture of goodwill, Kwararafa Reporters announced that it would dedicate two full pages weekly to showcasing Hon. Tafida’s activities, a move that was appreciated by Alhaji Gadaffi.

The lecture, initially scheduled to take place at the NBC Century House, was moved online due to the Eid-el-Kabir holidays.
