Team New Nigeria (TNN) has announced that it has registered approximately 43 million members nationwide so far.

The association also stated that it would commence an aggressive nationwide membership registration on December 6, 2025.

This decision was made during the Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting held on Saturday. The BoT also approved the establishment of a National Conference Organising Committee to oversee the organisation of a befitting national convention for the emerging political movement.

According to a statement made available to newsmen, the BoT resolved that there is a need to review the association’s membership base and immediately resume registration across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

Consequently, the BoT approved that the membership registration exercise will begin simultaneously in all 774 local government areas on Saturday, December 6, 2025.

The statement reads: “The registration shall start from the ward level in each of the eight thousand, eight hundred and nine (8,809) council wards in Nigeria. All registration materials will be made available to ward officials by Thursday, December 4, 2025.”

TNN leaders at the state, senatorial district, local government, and ward levels have been directed to ensure a smooth, transparent, and credible process. The party emphasised that there shall be no registration by proxy, adding that the registration form is free of charge and not for sale.

The exercise will be officially declared open in Abuja on December 4, 2025.

TNN recalled that its online and physical membership registration first commenced on December 15, 2023. Since then, a total of 43,607,700 registration transactions have been recorded, making TNN “the greatest crowd-pulling platform in Nigeria today.”

The party disclosed that the online portal witnessed heightened activity in 2025, with 52% of all transactions recorded within the first 11 months of the year. New registrations account for 40.6% of total online activity. Young people constitute 56% of online users, while women and persons with disabilities account for 49.6%.

TNN describes itself as a political and social force born out of an extensive national consultation process aimed at charting a new course for Nigeria. Its foundation, it said, is built on the collective will of Nigerians who continue to face deep socioeconomic disparities decades after the 1999 democratic transition.

The movement reiterated its commitment to dismantling structures of bad governance and instituting a new paradigm of integrity-driven, accountable, and equitable leadership.

“We enjoin all members to cooperate and encourage others to join us in our common quest to rebuild a Nigeria that works for us all,” the statement added.

In preparation for the National Conference scheduled for December 2025 in Abuja, the BoT has approved the formation of a National Organising Committee with full responsibility for coordinating and supervising the conference process.

The following categories of TNN executive members are expected to attend the National Conference: All members of the National Executive Committee, All members of the State Executive Committee, All members of the Local Government Executive Committee, All members of the Senatorial District Executive Committee, Ward Chairmen, Ward Women Leaders, and Ward Youth Leaders.

The breakdown of participants includes: 43 National Executive Committee members, 1,145 State Executive Committee members, 763 Senatorial District Executive Committee members, 23,994 Local Government Executive Committee members, and 26,427 Ward Representatives (comprising Chairmen, Women Leaders, and Youth Leaders).

The movement also expressed concern over what it described as unnecessary delays by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in registering TNN as a political party.

“As a result, TNN leaders will be engaging in broad coalition talks with already registered political parties. We have set up a National Political Management Committee (PMC) to develop a comprehensive communication and engagement strategy for forming alliances and establishing a genuinely democratic government in Nigeria,” the statement said.

TNN reaffirmed its commitment to a government rooted in federalism, devolution of powers, and the pursuit of a truly functional federation.
