Leading figure in geospatial industry in Africa, Emmanuel Sampson, has announced a significant technology summit following the success of his pioneering “Trimble Day in Nigeria” initiative in December 2021.
The expanded event, “Trimble Days in West Africa,” represents Emmanuel’s continued efforts to advance digital transformation across multiple industries in the region.
The two-day summit, scheduled for September 25-26, 2023, at the Radisson Blu 1a, Ozumba Mbadiwe Ave. Victoria Island Lagos, builds upon Emmanuel’s previous work in geospatial technology deployment across agriculture, surveying, architecture, mining, construction, utilities, energy, and land administration sectors.
Emmanuel’s expertise has been particularly impactful in Nigeria’s agriculture and construction sectors, which contributed over a quarter to the country’s nominal GDP in the first quarter of 2023. His work has focused on implementing digital solutions that address specific challenges in these critical economic areas.
“Our mission is to transform how industries operate by connecting the digital and physical worlds,” says Emmanuel, who leads Trimble’s Emerging Markets and Funded projects in the region.
“Through core technologies in positioning, modeling, connectivity, and data analytics, we’re enabling solutions that improve productivity, quality, safety, transparency, and sustainability.”
The upcoming summit will feature plenary sessions, breakout discussions, and live demonstrations led by Sampson and his team, showcasing innovations in geospatial technology, advanced positioning, land administration, agriculture, construction, and utilities sectors.
Industry leaders anticipate that Emmanuel’s work will continue to influence key growth sectors that the Nigerian government has prioritized for development. The summit is expected to draw participants from across Africa, reflecting the broader impact of his technological initiatives in the region.
