Tope Adenibuyan, also known as ‘Teddy A’, is a Nigerian actor and reality TV star who has sparked conversations online after sharing his views on marriage, career-driven women, and submission in relationships.

The actor who rose to fame as a housemate on Big Brother Naija Season 3 (Double Wahala) in 2018 was recently on a podcast with ‘Echo Room Podcast’, where he said he does not want a stay-at-home wife, explaining that he prefers a partner who is ambitious and actively pursuing her own career or personal goals.

In his words, “I don’t want a stay-at-home wife” Noting that marital conflicts often arise when an ambitious woman is “not submissive”.

He said relationships work better when both partners contribute financially and enjoy the benefits of their joint efforts together.

This statement has since stirred up reactions across social media platforms, with some supporting his stance on balancing independence and traditional values, while others totally disagree and criticised the statement.
