This is even as it will be hosting its first-ever all-women programme, TEDxLagos Women, themed ‘Forward’ on March 30, 2024, in Lagos, Nigeria, in partnership with LAPO Microfinace Bank.

TEDxLagos is an annual TEDx conference that aspires to bring together Nigeria’s best scientists, entrepreneurs, professionals, innovators, and reformers, to share ideas that would spark deep discussions and birth new ideas that will change our society.

Convener of TEDxLagos, Mercy Akamo, in a press statement made available to LEADERSHIP, said: “At TEDxLagos, we have always organized and provided the opportunity for the diffusion of groundbreaking perspectives and ideas that have the power to shape the continent. This year, however, we see more than ever before, the need to celebrate women and spark more conversations around the immense possibilities for all women irrespective of socio-economic strata.”

TEDxLagos Women acknowledged the work that still needed to be done in the areas of gender inequality and women empowerment and is making collaborative efforts at ensuring that women courageously own their own voices, lend their voices, and continue to pay it forward to more women in the future.
