Teni, 9ice, Nasboi @ GOTV Boxing Night 2023

The 30th edition of GOTV’s Boxing Night held annually on December 26, is a fusion of six boxing bouts and musical interlude featuring Nigerian singers Teni, 9ice and skit comedian, Nasboi.

The Boxing Night scheduled to hold at the Tafawa Balewa Square, will witness six boxing bouts, one international, and five national bouts, including a bout featuring female boxing sensation, Bolatito ‘Black Tito’ Oluwole, and Blessing Abisoye; and West African Boxing Union title clash between Nigeria’s Taiwo ‘Gentle’ Olowu and Ghanaian, Michael Ansah.

“Besides the bouts, these music artistes are top performers who are sure to give fans the perfect music interlude on the night. We have also made provisions for refreshments at the venue. Fans are assured of a carnival of boxing and music this boxing day,” said chief executive officer (CEO) of Flykite productions, Jenkins Alumona.

Teni Makanaki (nee Teni Apata) is a musician whose music is laced with humour. 9ice is a veteran singer known for great tunes like Gongo Aso, Street Credibility among others, whilst singer, entertainer and comedian Nasboi, born Lawal Michael Nasiru Bolaji is known for his hilarious comedic skits and spot-on mimicry of Davido’s vocal.

Nasboi’s who started out his entertainment career as a singer, failed to breakout in the industry after several attempts. He nabbed the spotlight when he posted a video mimicking Davido’s distinctive voice which went viral. However, it was his venture into short comedy skits on Instagram that changed the game, as he consistently delivers hilarious video content, attracting an ever-expanding audience.
