Held on the university campus in April 2025, the seminar drew hundreds of students to what many have described as the most impactful career-focused event of their academic journey. It marked the beginning of what may become a long-term relationship between the faculty and MPH Services a graduate support organization renowned for securing international scholarships and visa-sponsored job placements for African students.
Prof Adedoyin urged students to embrace the vision shared during the seminar. “Graduation is not the end. It’s the gateway to bigger stages if you’re willing to walk through it with clarity and support,” she said. “MPH Services has shown us that our students are not limited to local job markets or small dreams. They can go global.”
The session, which took place in one of main lecture theatres, was led by Mr Ibrahim of MPH Services and focused on post-graduate readiness, job placement abroad and remote jobs from Nigeria. Students received free practical guides and tools they can use on their own.
Strict Standards, Real Pathways
Mr Ibrahim said: “We are not here with vague promises. Our work speaks, we don’t promote shortcuts. We promote structure, strategy, and substance.”
MPH Services made it clear: their services are serious, and they expect students to be equally serious about their future.
“This isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution, and it definitely won’t happen overnight it takes patience, work and the grace of God. But here’s the truth: if you’re fortunate enough to have financial support or startup capital, Nigeria might just be the best place to plant your dreams. This country is rich with opportunities for those willing to invest in real value-driven ventures, think farming, manufacturing, or tech-driven services. It’s the land where you build and watch your vision grow. But if what you need right now is stability, structure, and consistent income, then going abroad to work and earn might be the wiser first step. Both paths lead somewhere the key is knowing which one fits your current season”
Student Voices:
The feedback from students was overwhelmingly positive. Oluwatobiloba Akintoye, a final-year student in Economics, said, “I used to think going abroad was only for rich kids or those with deep connections and a lot of money. But this seminar has opened my eyes. It gave me hope, and more importantly, direction.”
Another student, Blessing Omodayo, from the Department of Sociology, added, “The seminar felt like someone finally handed us a compass. Now we know which way to go.”
What’s Next for
Prof Adedoyin confirmed this in an interview after the event: “We want continuity. We want our students to have this advantage every year, not just once. MPH Services aligns perfectly with our commitment to academic excellence and graduate employability.”
With the university’s vision of nurturing purpose-driven leaders, and the expert support offered by MPH Services, we are positioning our graduates not just for certificates but for global competitiveness.
The seeds have been planted. Now the institution and its students must nurture them to maturity.
