All roads lead to Ladi Kwali Hall of the Abuja Continental Hotel (formerly Sheraton) on Saturday, August 30, 2025, as the 3rd edition of the Papyrus Magazine State Houses of Assembly Awards (PAMSHAA) is set to celebrate the exceptional performance of Nigeria’s State legislators.

Organised by Papyrus Global, publishers of The Papyrus Magazine, The Papyrus Daily, and The Papyrus TV Africa, the event aims to recognise lawmakers who have gone beyond the call of duty to deliver tangible dividends of democracy to their constituents and, by extension, the state.

Described as one of the most credible, fact-finding and inclusive recognition platforms in state-level governance, PAMSHAA evaluates nominees based on verifiable achievements in lawmaking, motions, constituency outreach, and committee leadership.

Categories include “Best Performing Member in Constituency Outreach,” “Best performing Member with Most Impactful Motions,” “Best Performing Member with Most Effective/Highest Private Member Bills Sponsored “Best performing Committee and Chairman,” Most loved which is voted by PASAN, The Most Vocal/Eloquent Member of the floor of the House, among other special recognition categories for State and outstanding members in different areas.

Through a well-vetted process, our Recipients have been selected through performance assessments conducted in collaboration with PASAN, various State Houses of Assembly Journalists, and constituency-level opinion polls, ensuring a balanced and transparent selection process.

Now in its 3rd year, PAMSHAA continues to grow in reputation, serving as a performance barometer and morale booster for lawmakers across Nigeria’s 36 states.
