Veteran Nollywood and theatre matriarch Mama Grace Owoola Oyin-Adejobi, popularly known as Iya Osogbo, will be honoured on Sunday, 13th September 2026, as she marks 96 years of life, faith and service to Nigerian culture.
This was made known by Sola Oyin Adejobi, who noted that the celebration will recognise Iya Osogbo as one of the enduring pillars of Nigerian theatre.
With a career spanning decades, she is celebrated as a legendary actress, stage icon and evangelist whose work has shaped generations of performers and audiences across Nigeria and beyond.
The milestone event will also feature the official launch of her biography titled: 
Grace Owoola Oyin-Adejobi (IYA OSOGB): The Track of a Nigerian Theatre Icon.
The book chronicles her journey from the early days of Yoruba travelling theatre to becoming a national treasure and a voice of moral leadership through drama and ministry.
‘Celebrating a Legend, Inspiring Generations’, is the theme of the day, which will bring together family, colleagues, industry leaders, cultural stakeholders and well-wishers to pay tribute to her grace, resilience and impact.
