The accident reportedly occurred at the Arinkinkin area of Ogbomoso.

The deceased monarchs were said to be attending the burial ceremony of the mother of another traditional ruler, Oloolo of Oolo, Oba Oyebunmi Ajayi.

The three deceased Obas from the local government were Olodogbo of Odogbo, Onibowula of Bowula, and Alayetoro of Ayetoro.

They were said to be on their way to the party when the accident occurred following their vehicle ramming into an oncoming truck.

Olodogbo was confirmed to have died on the spot but it’s unclear at what point the other two passed away.

A source at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital Ogbomoso confirmed the incident to Ogbomoso Insight Online informing that their bodies were deposited in the hospital’s morgue.

It was revealed that the fourth victim who sustained injuries is being attended to in the hospital “but he doesn’t look like an Oba,” the source said.
