The two suspects, Hamza Ibrahim and Auwal Kolo were accused of threatening to kill an unnamed police officer after a failed attempt to snatch his mobile phone.

The hoodlums had threatened to kill the police officer who unknowingly boarded their tricycle from the Adamawa Unity Bridge to former APC Secretary in Nasarawo Jimeta, Yola, the state’s capital.

Hamza and Kolo picked their victim in their tricycle but instead of conveying him to the said destination, they suddenly diverted and headed to Ribadu Square where they threatened to kill him.

While on their way to Ribadu Square instead of APC Secretariat, Kolo put his hand into the pocket of the police officer, removed his handset and threatened to kill him.

Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Suleiman Nguroje confirmed the arrest and assured that the suspects who have since confessed to the crime will be charged to court for prosecution.
