Nigerian singer and songwriter, Timi Dakolo has encouraged men to rest when they are tired. He said constantly acting strong does not make anyone live longer.

In a post on Instagram, the singer said many men feel pressure to appear tough, even when they are struggling.

According to him, being strong does not shield anyone from life’s realities. He noted that the world keeps moving, regardless of the sacrifices people make.

He also stressed that being tired is not the same as being lazy. The singer urged men to take time to rest and recover whenever necessary.

He wrote:

“Dear brotherly, pretending to be strong even when you’re really tired doesn’t add years to your life. Strong men die too, and the world will move on fast, especially the people you are acting strong for. If you’re tired, rest small. Tired no be laziness.”
