President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on his 66th birthday, commending his administration’s development strides and people-centred approach to governance in the state.
In a statement personally signed on Thursday to mark the governor’s birthday, Tinubu noted that the occasion also coincided with Abiodun’s seventh year in office as governor of Ogun State.
The President praised the governor’s implementation of the “Building Our Future Together” agenda, which he said was anchored on infrastructure, social welfare, education, youth empowerment, job creation, and agriculture.
Tinubu said Abiodun had transformed infrastructure in Ogun State through key projects, including the construction of a modern airport and the establishment of an airline.
He also lauded the governor’s adoption of compressed natural gas and electric vehicles for transportation, expansion of healthcare services, improved access to education, and efforts to create an enabling environment for investment.
According to the President, the Ogun governor had significantly elevated the standard of governance in the state.
“From transforming the state’s infrastructure, including the construction of a modern airport and the establishment of an airline, to adopting CNG and electric vehicles for transportation, expanding healthcare, improving access to education, and creating an enabling environment for investment, Prince Abiodun has significantly elevated the standard of governance in Ogun State,” Tinubu said.
The President further noted Abiodun’s role in advancing Ogun State’s industrial revolution and improving the ease of doing business, saying the achievements align with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the federal government.
Tinubu also described Abiodun, who is Chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum, as a committed leader dedicated to the development of Ogun State and the nation.
He joined the governor’s family, friends, and residents of Ogun State in wishing him good health and renewed strength as he continues in office.
