President Bola Tinubu has commissioned the Southern Parkway, the S8/S9, Christian Centre to Ring Road 1, in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Commissioning the road formerly known as Southern Parkway, President Tinubu said the completion of the road underscored his administration’s commitment to inclusive and sustainable development.
The President affirmed that his government will sustain infrastructure as the enabler of economic development and prosperity.
“We recognise the fact that infrastructure is an enabler of economic development and prosperity. We believe we are going to achieve all of that,” he said.
The Nigerian Leader commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, for the completion of the road project.
The 5.4-kilometre roadway will ease traffic congestion and evacuate traffic from the city centre, reduce delays and increase manhour.
The newly commissioned way, named Bola Ahmed Tinubu dual carriage way, was constructed by SETRACO.
