Following the disquiet over the absence of President Bola Tinubu in Nigeria, the presidency has said the Nigerian leader and his aides, who accompanied him on foreign trips, would return home today
Two weeks ago, Tinubu travelled to The Netherlands and Saudi Arabia for official visits on the invitation of Prime Minister Mark Rutte and a special World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting, respectively.
After the two engagements, the president quietly travelled to Europe, fuelling speculations back at home about his whereabouts and health condition.
However, the special adviser to the president on information and strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, yesterday evening, said Tinubu and his entourage would return to Nigeria today.
Taking to his personal X handle (formerly Twitter), Onanuga wrote, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, along with his aides, will return to Nigeria tomorrow from Europe.”
