President Bola Ahmed Tinubu yesterday held a closed-door meeting with former military president, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida in Minna, the Niger State capital.
Tinubu left the venue of the inauguration of the Agric Mechanisation Revolution Project of Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago straight for the former Nigerian leader’s residence
LEADERSHIP findings revealed that the president spent over one hour discussing the national issues with the host.
Tinubu, during the visit to the state, promised to find lasting solutions to the problems bedevilling the livestock sector of agriculture.
It was learnt that only Governor Bago was present at the meeting.
Babangida, it was learnt, offered him (Tinubu) advice as a statesman and stressed the need to urgently walk the talk.
It was learnt that Babangida advised that all programmes of the government should be targeted at the common man and promised to make his door open to all leaders but insisted on maintaining the unity of the country.
