A community leader in Ekiti State, Dr Olusegun Aderemi, has described some of the decisions taken by President Bola Tinubu-led administration in less than one month of assumption of office as the right steps in the right direction.
The Lagos-based industrialist who hailed the president’s action on fuel subsidy removal, students loan and others said President Tinubu is a true democrat who is out to deliver to Nigerians on all agitations, aspirations as far as dividends of democracy are concerned.
The Atayero of Aramoko Ekiti, who spoke in his country home on Tuesday at an event to mark his birthday, advised the new government to consider constitutional roles for traditional rulers in the country constitution as custodian of culture and traditions.
According to him, “This is about the first time in our own lifetime we would have a true democrat becoming the president of the Federal republic of Nigeria in person of President
“Because all democrats are known for giving back dividends of democracy that’s how its happening in a lot of places where there is democrat and i want to believe that Nigeria will not be an exception.”
“We are on the right path ,there is no doubt that our country is a developing country , the democratic government we have had in the past tried their best , now, this true democrat will give us what we want as far as democracy is concerned.
“Talking about the actions the present government has taken, I want to believe that the actions are in the right direction, as far as fuel subsidy is concerned.
