The president joined them in paying solemn respects to the highly professional news anchor and presenter, who spent 35 years at NTA until her retirement in 2022.
“During her time as the presenter of the flagship ‘NTA Network News at 9’, Nigerians and viewers around the world looked forward to seeing her smile, warmth, and wisdom as she delivered news that can be trusted objectively.”
Also, the acting managing director of the Abuja Market Management Limited, Engr Yakubu Abbas, has condoled with the management of the NTA.
According to him in a statement, the death of ace broadcaster and newscaster came to him as a surprise, but as people who believe in the will of Allah, they know death is inevitable.
He said, “She was a calm, hardworking and committed broadcaster who put in her best to promote the image of the NTA. I want to condole her immediate family, children and the entire NTA national headquarters on this irreparable loss.
“I pray that may Allah grant her Al Jannah Firdausi and give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
“At this point in time, we need nothing more than to pray for her and also uphold her norms, principles and virtues as a woman who cared for others.”
