Addressing the congregation at the Ansar-Ud-Deen Central Mosque in Surulere, Lagos, on Friday, the President, as conveyed by presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale in a statement, highlighted that the economic reforms initiated by his government aim to establish a strong and secure foundation for both present and future generations of Nigerians.

President Tinubu, participating in the Jumaat prayers commemorating the centennial anniversary of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria (ADS), commended the Society for its dedication to humanity, contributions to spreading Islamic principles, and efforts in uplifting the marginalised.

He urged Society members to uphold their objectives of advancing citizen education and promoting the moral and social development of the Muslim community.

The President expressed gratitude to the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society for their support during the elections, stressing that their backing serves as motivation for his administration to remain steadfast in delivering good governance.

“I appreciate the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society for its support during the elections. I don’t take it lightly; instead, this support drives us in government to stay focused,” he stated.

Reaffirming his dedication to the welfare of all citizens while on a brief Christmas holiday in Lagos, President Tinubu highlighted recent initiatives such as the 50 per cent reduction in interstate land transportation fares nationwide and the clearance of backlog allowances for N-Power beneficiaries. These measures, among others, aim to alleviate the burden on Nigerians during this festive season, with more initiatives expected in the upcoming year.

“We are committed to establishing a better society for our citizens, regardless of ethnic, religious, or geographical differences. The various policies already implemented are anticipated to bring significant relief to our people. We understand their challenges and are addressing them comprehensively.

“It’s noteworthy that Ansar-Ud-Deen has achieved a century of existence through a systematic strategy that upholds its mission and vision. This stands as a testament to what focused planning can accomplish within a society,” the President said.
