The Kano State Police Command has issued strong warning to youths in the state against acts of vandalism and destruction of properties in the State, saying anyone caught in the act would be made to face the wrath of the law.
Deputy spokesperson of the Police Command, Hussaini Abdullahi, disclosed the warning in a statement following a disturbing viral video showing some persons engaging in an acts of vandalism and destruction of campaign billboards in the State.
LEADERSHIP reports that the video shows a group of youths in the state destroying the 2027 campaign billboard of President Bola Tinubu.
Abdullahi, however, stated, “This unwarranted act is not only disrespectful but also criminal and constitutes security threats that will not be tolerated.
“The Police Command has commenced investigation and profiling of those behind this despicable act in a bid to cause them to face the full consequences of their actions.
“The Command warns the public, especially youths, that any form of vandalism and destruction of property will be viewed seriously as the law will take its course, and those found culpable will be brought to justice,” he stated.
Abdullahi further quoted the Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, to have urged the members of the public to be law-abiding and stay away from acts that could cause breakdown of law and order, breaching the peace being enjoyed in the state.
He, therefore, assured of the Command’s resolve in doing everything possible to maintain law and order in the state.
