President Bola Tinubu has commiserated with the National Assembly and the Kaduna State government over the passing of Hon Ekene Abubakar Adams, a lawmaker representing Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency of Kaduna State in the House of Representatives.
In a statement by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, the president also extended his condolences to the family and friends of the late lawmaker, urging them to find solace in the Almighty and the deceased.
Tinubu prayed for the repose of the soul of the departed lawmaker and strength to his family.
Also, Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has mourned the death of Adams.
Governor Sani said Adams, born in 1985, lived an exemplary life of active service to the people of his constituency and Kaduna State.
The governor said that, in his lifetime, Ekene was well respected as a politician, community leader, sports administrator, and philanthropist.
In a condolence message issued by the governor’s chief press secretary, Muhammad Lawal Shehu, he said a dedicated football lover and administrator, Ekene established KADA City FC, a Nigerian football club based in Kaduna, to discover talents and promote football within Kaduna State.
“He was often regarded as one of Nigeria’s youngest football club owners. The late Adams was chairman of the House Committee on Sports.”
In a condolence message to the family of the deceased and the people of Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency, Governor Sani eulogised the late lawmaker as a trailblazer, fearless politician, and administrator.
“On behalf of the people of Kaduna State, Governor Uba Sani has extended his deepest condolences to the family of the deceased and has called for prayers from well-meaning Nigerians for the people of Kaduna State during this time,” the statement said.
