President Bola Tinubu has pledged his full backing for the sustainable development of the Niger Delta, vowing to support initiatives that will spur economic growth and improve living standards in the region.
He stated this during a meeting with the minister of Niger Delta Development, Abubakar Momoh, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting provided an avenue for the Minister to update the President on ongoing projects and initiatives spearheaded by the Niger Delta Development Ministry.
In his address, Minister Momoh highlighted key infrastructure interventions, community programs and efforts to tackle environmental challenges facing the oil-rich region.
He provided details on road construction projects, skill acquisition centers, agricultural support schemes and major gas flaring reduction initiatives.
In response, President Tinubu expressed keen interest and appreciation for the Ministry’s endeavours, acknowledging the critical role the Niger Delta plays in the nation’s economic and social fabric.
