Political analyst, Abdulmalik Suleiman, has said All Progressives Congress (APC) members from Kano State gave a strong showing at the flag-off of President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign in Kaduna State because of the mobilisation capacity of the Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Suleiman, in a statement issued in Abuja yesterday, said the rally at Ranchers Bees Stadium showcased the strength of the political relationship between President Tinubu and the Kano governor.

He described the event as a defining moment for Kano’s supporters, arguing that their numbers and enthusiasm overshadowed those of other state contingents at the gathering.

According to the analyst, supporters who travelled from Kano, together with residents from the state living in Kaduna, formed a significant presence at the rally.

He said their reception for the President demonstrated what he called an “unbreakable partnership” between Governor Yusuf and Tinubu.

“The governor’s highly motivated supporters completely dominated the arena with unalloyed loyalty and thunderous ovation for Mr President,” Suleiman said.

He added that the crowd’s reaction intensified when Tinubu approached the podium, with supporters chanting: “Abba! Tinubu Continuity! 2027 Sai Abba, Sai Tinubu!”

Suleiman said the chants reflected Kano’s commitment to the Tinubu re-election project and highlighted Governor Yusuf’s role in building political support for the President in the North-west.

The analyst also pointed to the Kano State Government’s development agenda, saying its focus on infrastructure, urban renewal and public services aligned with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

He cited road construction, flyovers, improvements to schools and healthcare facilities, agricultural support and human capital development as areas in which the administration was making progress across Kano’s 44 local government areas.

Suleiman attributed the governor’s growing political standing to his humility, sincerity of purpose and commitment to the people of Kano.

He further argued that the governor had become an influential northern supporter of Tinubu and a key figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the North-west.

The analyst said the Kaduna rally had sent a strong political message about Kano’s position ahead of the 2027 general election, with Governor Yusuf at the forefront of efforts to rally support for Tinubu’s continued leadership.

The claims about the rally’s impact, the level of support and the administration’s achievements were made by Suleiman in his statement.
