The Grand Patron of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has said President Bola Tinubu’s reforms have increased the resources available to state governments for salaries, pensions and projects.
Tompolo spoke through his representative, the managing director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Chief Kestin Pondi, at the inauguration of the movement’s Oyo State structure at Liberty Stadium, Ibadan, on Thursday, the Movement’s Media Unit said.
He also donated 32 vehicles to the movement for its activities in the state ahead of the 2027 elections.
Tompolo noted that Tinubu is from the South-West and referred to what he described as the South’s two-term turn.
He urged the people of Oyo State to support the President’s re-election so he can complete the two terms, and asked members of the movement to seek votes for him across the state.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, said the party would work to win the state. He said Oyo State had been out of the party controlling the Federal Government for a long time.
Alli thanked Tompolo for the donation and said the vehicles would be used across the state during the party’s campaigns.
The National Coordinator of the movement, Sunday Asuku, said the President’s reforms were necessary for economic growth and development. He cited the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) as one of the administration’s policies.
Asuku called on the people of Oyo State, particularly the youth, to vote for Tinubu as president and for Alli as governor in January 2027.
Asuku also urged members of the movement to campaign across the state.
