Tonlagha Recognised in US For Cross-border Community Impact

Founder of the Esther Matthew Tonlagha Foundation, Asst. Pastor Esther Matthew Tonlagha, has received the Community Impact Award at the AFRIMMA MusicFest Live in Dallas, Texas, United States.

The award recognises Tonlagha’s contributions to community development, empowerment and the creation of opportunities for vulnerable and underserved people.

The EMT Foundation, in a statement, said the award was for its founder, whose work has focused on communities in Nigeria and beyond.

It said Tonlagha’s work on empowering individuals and creating opportunities had extended beyond Nigeria’s borders, with the foundation stating it remained committed to community development.

The organisation said the award reflected the work of the EMT Foundation’s programmes and initiatives over the years.

Through its humanitarian and community-development initiatives, EMT Foundation supports women, children, youths and other vulnerable members of society through education, healthcare, empowerment and livelihood interventions.

The foundation said the recognition was tied to its motto, “Give to Gain.”
