Yoruba actress and film producer, Toyin Abraham, has faced head-on the criticisms fired her way for kneeling to greet billionaire couple Razaq and Shade Okoya during the 70th birthday celebration of former Ogun State governor Gbenga Daniel.
In a viral online video, Toyin was seen kneeling to greet Shade and her husband.
The ‘Over Sabi Aunty’ actress described herself as a true ‘Omoluabi’ who will always preserve and value her culture.
“As a true Omoluabi, I will always uphold our values and culture.
Happy weekend, to my lovely TOYINTITANS”.
Toyin, whose film, ‘Oversabi Aunty’, ranked as the 4th highest-grossing Nollywood film of all time, was criticised by fans, as some of these people she knelt to greet were not all that older than her, and as such she seemed to be overdoing the gesture.
Toyin explained that she is a rare breed and people are not supposed to understand her.
The actress on her 45th birthday, adorned herself in aso-oke, stating she is the one and only Oversabi Aunty of Nigeria.
