Chairman, Abia North Traditional Rulers Council, Eze Uwakwe Ukaegbu has said the state government’s embarking on renovation of 200 primary healthcare centres across the state calls for commendation.
Eze Ukaegbu made the assertion while speaking to LEADERSHIP on the sideline of Governor Alex Otti‘s inauguration of the retrofgited Ngwu/Uzuakoli Primary Health Centre in Bende local government area.
He said the renovation programme, tagged “Ekwuribe Project” which is expected to be completed within 100 days, underscored the governor‘s commitment to grassroots development.
His words “It’s commendable and gratifying to note that the centres are equipped with state of the art medical equipment to serve the healthcare needs of the rural dwellers.”
The monarch, who is also the 3rd deputy chairman of the State Council of Traditional Rulers appreciated the present administration in the state for „bringing rapid turnaround in the state in many areas.‘
“We‘re delighted with the governor‘s facelifting of the socioeconomic and infrastructure landscape of the state by opening access roads connecting the rural and urban areas.“
While assuring of the support of the zone for the administration, the chairman reiterated the need for the people to perform their civic obligations to enable the governor deliver more democracy dividends.
