A trailer offloading goods and passengers has plunged into the Muhammadu Buhari underpass along Hotoro Road in Kano metropolis, causing panic among onlookers and temporarily obstructing traffic flow in the area.
According to eyewitnesses, the vehicle was parked at the edge of the underpass when it suddenly tilted and crashed into the lower section. Although there were no fatalities, the driver of the vehicle however sustained facial injuries.
A bystander, Ibrahim Sani, who spoke to LEADERSHIP, explained, “When I got here, the trailer has already fallen into the underpass but there was no fatalities, thankfully, only the driver was injured but its minor and he went to the hospital himself.”
As at the time of filing this report, neither the Kano State Fire Service nor the police had issued any official statement regarding the incident.
