The Nasarawa State government has trained over 400 youths on enterprenurship and employable skills.
This was disclosed by the director general, human capital development agency, Habiba Balarabe Suleiman, at a job fair for graduates of the programme in Lafia at the weekend.

The programme which is in phases was the culmination of talks between the agency and Oxfam Nigeria on the sidelines of the Lagos State employment summit in 2019.
Governor Abdullahi Sule who spoke at the fair commended the management of the agency and the partners for the programme which he said had succeeded in building the capacity of the youths and curbing restiveness among them, while also reducing over dependence on government as well as boosting the state’s economy.
The governor who was represented by the commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, Aliyu Tijjani, urged beneficiaries to always make the state proud wherever they find themselves, even as he urged them to put the training to productive use for the benefit of themselves, families and the state at large.
Hbiba Balarabe-Suleiman said beneficiaries were trained in Business Plan Writing, Customer Service Excellence, Marketing Strategy, Business and Personal Finance Management, among others.
