The Federal Ministry of Transportation has celebrated the 2024 Customer Service Week, reaffirming its commitment to delivering exceptional services to Nigerians.

Themed “Going Above and Beyond for Customers,” the event aimed to inspire staff to prioritize stakeholders’ needs and uphold excellent service delivery across the transportation sector.

According to a statement signed by the Director of Press and Public Relations, Olujimi Oyetomi, the Permanent Secretary, Adeleye Adeoye, led the celebration alongside Ben Onche Olofu of the SERVICOM Office at the Presidency and the Ministry’s directors and staff.

Adeoye said, “We are determined to ensure that exceptional service delivery becomes a standard across all our operations. Every staff member has a role to play in making this happen.”

During a ceremony in his office, Adeoye was decorated with the SERVICOM insignia and presented with posters to be displayed in strategic areas within the ministry. These posters, he noted, are meant to remind staff of their duty to serve Nigerians diligently.

“Our mission is to go above and beyond for the people we serve. This is not just a theme; it’s a call to action for every one of us,” he added.

The celebration continued at the Ministry’s headquarters lobby, where Adeoye cut the 2024 Customer Service Week cake and addressed a larger gathering of staff.

He encouraged them to embrace professionalism and uphold the Ministry’s mandate.

“We owe it to Nigerians to deliver the best. It should come naturally to us as public servants to meet and exceed the expectations of the people,” Adeoye emphasized.

He stated that the event reinforced the Ministry’s focus on enhancing service delivery while strengthening trust with stakeholders in the transportation sector.
