The Managing Director, Fast, Safe and Secured (FSS) Transport Ltd, Tiamiyu Tajudeen- Olalekan, has called on wealthy Nigerians and private investors to increase investment in Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) filling stations.

Olalekan insisted that wider access to the fuel could help reduce transportation costs for operators and passengers.

He stated this at the unveiling of the FSS Transport Ltd, powered by CNG, to improve interstate transportation in Nigeria, with a focus on providing faster, safer, more comfortable, and more affordable journeys across the South-West and parts of the North-Central region.

Olalekan said the new transport firm was established to improve the travelling experience of Nigerians through organised operations, technology-driven booking, strict safety measures and customer-focused services.

He said the company’s long-term ambition was to expand its routes across Nigeria and eventually venture into aviation, under a broader vision he described as moving Nigerians from city to city and, ultimately, around the world.

The transporter said the company is positioned to serve passengers travelling for business, education, family engagements and other personal commitments, while also offering courier and waybill services for individuals and businesses.

According to the managing director, the company’s mission extends beyond profit-making to improving the quality of road travel and supporting economic activities through the efficient movement of people and goods.

He disclosed that passengers would be able to reserve seats in advance through the company’s website, a measure designed to improve journey planning, minimise delays and encourage adherence to scheduled departure times.

Olalekan said the company also plans to enforce stringent vehicle and passenger safety standards, including the provision of seat belts for every passenger, brand-new tyres, speed limiters and vehicle-speed displays on infotainment screens.

He said the company would also prioritise the selection of suitable vehicles and the engagement of trained, experienced drivers expected to maintain discipline, courtesy and attentiveness throughout each journey.

The managing director also disclosed that FSS Transport is entering the courier and logistics market, offering services designed to help individuals and businesses move parcels and goods between locations.

Olalekan said the company intended to provide an organised, timely and affordable service for customers sending personal belongings to relatives or delivering products to clients.

He expressed optimism that combining passenger transportation and parcel delivery would enable FSS to serve a broader customer base while supporting businesses that depend on the efficient movement of goods.

“Although FSS is a private business, its purpose is to serve the public,” Olalekan said, calling for public support to help the company grow and fulfil its objectives.

He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for efforts to improve road infrastructure and promote CNG as an alternative fuel for transportation.

According to him, better roads would strengthen connectivity between communities, while increased availability of CNG could create opportunities for more affordable transport operations.

He urged investors to view CNG infrastructure not only as a commercial opportunity but also as an investment that can support the wider economy.

Transportation, he noted, plays a critical role in daily life and commercial activities, investing in the sector important to individuals, businesses and communities.

While the company is beginning with road transportation, Olalekan said its vision was to build a lasting enterprise capable of expanding into other areas of mobility.

He disclosed that the company’s long-term aspiration included entering the aviation sector, with the ambition of eventually helping Nigerians travel across the globe.

Olalekan applauded his son, Haleem Tiamiyu, who developed the company’s website and serves as its information technology manager.

The managing director credited Haleem’s technical expertise, creativity and dedication with making a significant contribution to the project, describing his work as an important part of bringing the business vision to life.

Olalekan expressed confidence that public patronage, constructive feedback and sustained commitment to service would help the company achieve its objectives.
