Troops Arrest 5 Suspected Gunrunners, Kidnappers In Plateau

Troops of “Operation Safe Haven” have arrested three gunrunners and two kidnappers in Plateau State.

 

The director, Defence Media Operations Major General Benard Onyeuko, in a statement, said the troops on Sunday arrested three suspected gunrunners at Shimakar village, Shendam local government area of Plateau State.

 

He said the gunrunners: Mr Julius Simon (alias Bagga) -37yrs, Mr Wolta Zambai -45yrs and Mr Iliya Peter (alias Doubok) 27yrs were undergoing investigation.

In a similar vein, troops arrested two kidnappers identified as; Alhaji Musa Usman, 27, and Adam Mohammed, 25, at Barkin Ladi, same Plateau State.
“The suspects confessed to have carried out several kidnapping activities in the general area including the kidnap of one Master Jeremiah Elijah, a six-year-old on 21st July, 2022” he said.
