Troops Neutralise 2 Bandits, Recover Weapons In Plateau Community

Troops of 3 Division code named Operation Safe Haven”” (OPSH) have neutralised two bandits following credible intelligence report when they laid ambush against the criminals in Nteng community of Qua’aPan LGA of Plateau State.

OPSH in a statement issued by the media and information officer Major Samson Zhakom said during the encounter which was accompanied by exchange of gunfire many of the bandits fled with gunshot wounds as indicated by the blood stains along their escape routes.

According to the statement, upon exploitation of the area, the troops recovered dangerous weapons and ammunition, adding that the arms were in the custody of troops for further action.

Major Zhakom said troops were on the trail of the fleeing criminals for interception, stressing that the latest operational success remained a testament to the troops’ unrelenting fight against militias and other criminal elements within Operation Safe Haven Joint Operations Area.
