Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have neutralised three terrorists, including one Abu Rajab, a notorious commander of the Boko Haram, during a raid in Sambisa Forest in Borno State.
The feat was achieved when the troops, with Hybrid Force and CJTF, stormed the terrorist camp in the Bula Daloje general area of Bama LGA in a daring raid operation on August 17, 2024.
Intelligence sources, according to Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in the Lake Chad region, said that the troop’s incursion was met by an ambush staged by the insurgents en route to their enclave, which resulted in a heavy gunbattle.
The troops, however, successfully repelled the attack, killing the terrorists and forcing others to withdraw. During the operation, troops recovered two AK-47 rifles and a mobile phone.
Unfortunately, one Hybrid Force personnel sustained gunshot wounds and later died.
