It was gathered that the terrorists stormed the town from the Sambisa axis through Yarimari Gana in the early morning of April 24, 2023, at about 0200 hours in an attempt to cause havoc.

A counter-insurgency expert, and security analyst in the Lake Chad region, Zagazola Makama, said the troops were swiftly deployed to the scene where they engaged the terrorists at the back of the Bama IDPs camp forcing them to flee.

It would be recalled that troops of 21 Armoured Brigade, Bama, and 199 Special Forces Battalion in collaboration with Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), had between April 17 to 20, 2023, killed 35 terrorists and captured one Alhaji Baana after it destroyed 12 camps of Boko Haram, located in Bama local government area. Meanwhile, ISWAP has carried out another attack on another military outpost in Pulka. One soldier paid the supreme price in the attack.
