Troops, Vigilantes Kill Lakurawa Kingpin In Kebbi

A combined team of troops and vigilante members has killed a notorious Lakurawa kingpin known as Maigemu in Kebbi State.

Our correspondent gathered that Maigemu was killed during a gun battle at Kuncin Baba village in Arewa local government area of Kebbi State on Thursday night.

The director of security at the cabinet office in Birnin Kebbi, Abdulrahman Usman Zagga, said the development was as a result of the recent visit by Governor Nasir Idris to troubled areas where he instructed a boost in security.

Zagga urged communities to continue support security personnel in tackling insecurity in the area.
