Laven who is also the commissioner for housing and urban development stated this during the investiture of the TIC chairman of Jos North LGA, Hon. Samuel Dala, as patron of VGN Jos North at the weekend.
He said the VGN had taken proactive measures to ensure that roads and streets are safe for residents and travelers by mounting surveillance roadblocks.

Ubandoma urged the federal and state governments and wealthy Nigerians to support the Vigilante Group of Nigeria for optimum performance.

He added that it is very important that we consider them as volunteer outfits in the services of preventing crimes and criminality in our neighbourhood and border towns and donate generously to boost their morale.
