Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembele is set to return from injury for Paris Saint-Germain’s Champions League match against Bayer Leverkusen, according to reports from AFP yesterday.
Dembele has been out for six weeks due to a hamstring injury sustained while on international duty with France in early September. After recuperating at a specialist clinic in Qatar, he returned to training last week.
While he missed PSG’s recent 3-3 draw against Strasbourg, he has been included in the squad for Tuesday’s match in Germany. PSG is also welcoming back forwards Desire Doue and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, although midfielders Fabian Ruiz and Joao Neves remain sidelined.
Coach Luis Enrique has expressed caution regarding player health, stating, “We do not want to take risks with our players’ fitness,” adding that the team has made a strong start to their Champions League campaign with victories over Atalanta and Barcelona.
