Napoli captain, Giovanni Di Lorenzo, has said that he was banking on Victor Osimhen to help the Serie A champions overcome Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League (UCL) encounter.

Madrid will be guests to Napoli in Tuesday’s match day two in Group C of the UEFA Champions League.

Both teams go into the game on the back of wins in their first fixtures in the competition.

After a run of four straight games without scoring, Osimhen has found the back of the net in his last two games for Rudi Garcia’s men.

Looking forward to the home game against the 14-time European champions, Di Lorenzo said he will be banking on the Nigerian international to help his side down the Spanish giants.

“Osimhen is a fantastic footballer and I’m convinced that he’ll give everything he’s got tomorrow, just like every other Napoli player,” Di Lorenzo was quoted on Napoli’s X handle.

“We’re up against a team blessed with top players, but we’ll do all we can to make their lives difficult in front of our sell-out crowd. It’s going to be a thrilling evening,” he added.

Napoli coach admitted Madrid have top-class and physically imposing players and that his players need to be wary of this and give 110% out on the pitch.

Osimhen has scored five goals in seven league appearances for the Italian champions.
