The European African Chamber of Commerce and Industries (EuroAfrica CCI) has appointed veteran communications strategist and journalist, Genesis Kelly Prince Udebhulu, as its Director of Media and Publicity for the Africa Region.
Udebhulu, also known as Prince Kelly Udebhulu and an indigene of Edo State, Nigeria, will lead the chamber’s media and public relations operations across Africa, with responsibility for promoting its programmes, strengthening stakeholder engagement and enhancing the organisation’s visibility across the continent.
Announcing the appointment, EuroAfrica CCI described Udebhulu as a seasoned communications professional with a proven track record in strategic communication, public affairs and development advocacy.
The chamber said his experience in media management and public engagement would support its efforts to deepen trade, investment and economic cooperation between Europe and Africa.
According to the organisation, Udebhulu will oversee media campaigns, manage brand awareness, coordinate media relations and ensure consistent messaging across digital and traditional communication platforms. He is also expected to foster stronger collaboration among governments, businesses, investors and development partners.
The chamber noted that his passion for economic development, investment promotion and effective media engagement has earned him recognition across both the public and private sectors.
It expressed confidence that his appointment would strengthen synergy between European expertise and Africa’s innovation, while supporting sustainable economic growth and mutually beneficial partnerships.
EuroAfrica CCI added that stronger communication and stakeholder engagement would further advance opportunities in critical sectors, including agriculture, renewable energy, manufacturing, healthcare, education, tourism, culture and human capital development.
The appointment has also attracted commendation from members of the Edo State community in the United Kingdom.
In a congratulatory message, President of the Edo State indigenes in the UK, Dr. Osalobo Aghedo, described Udebhulu’s appointment as well deserved, noting that it reflects his professionalism, commitment to excellence and contributions to strategic communication.
Aghedo expressed confidence that Udebhulu would leverage his wealth of experience to strengthen the chamber’s communication strategy and promote international business relations between Europe and Africa.
